11 People Stuck in Elevator Eastside High School HD

11 people were stuck in an elevator at Eastside High School in Lancaster, CA on December 20th 2014. They got stuck around 10:00 p.m. after a dance recital. The elevator did not have an emergency stop button, and the phone to call for help did not work. After about 15 minutes, a maintenance worker tried to open the door. He not so promptly called for the fire department 20 minutes later. The fire department arrived about 20 minutes after that and finally opened the door around 11:20. The 11 were stuck inside for over an hour.
