*Full Timelapse* Chippewa Falls, WI Tornadoes - July 21st, 2020 HD
Honestly, I didn’t intend to chase yesterday, but to finish up some much-needed work - yet I still kept on eye on things and ended up going to a local coffee shop in Taylors Falls, MN only to then head out the door once I saw storms firing to my NW. The chase was slow going at first with a rotating supercell that wasn’t doing too much, but once it started interacting with the warm front things started to get way more interesting! In the end, I witnessed four tornadoes yesterday, with three of them being pretty weak and short-lived but with the last one lasting longer than all the rest combined and to my knowledge only did some damage to a forest nearby. . This timelapse shows the last two tornadoes I witnessed west of Chippewa Falls near highway 29 south of Albertville, WI. The first one touched down as a little vortex about 300 feet (about 90 meters) away from me! (Note that the situation went from 0 to 60 real fast and you can see that I drove west a bit so I’m not directly under the funnel) While the second one ends up being fully condensed to the ground. .
