Footage shows man throwing shared bikes into river, claim they disclose privacy information HD
Mobike, a young Chinese startup of a bicycle-rental service, has become popular since it launched in April this year in China. Shanghai now has 30,000 Mobikes, and has gained popularity in the city. However, a man was seen throwing three orange Mobikes into the Huangpu River, a famous tourist site in Shanghai, on Monday. His odd behavior drew some onlookers’ attention, and the footage filmed by a passerby was uploaded online later, triggering netizens’ online outrage. The Hong Kong man is unemployed and has been living in Shanghai for over two months. He also confessed to destroying another nine shared bikes with a hammer he had found. The man, surnamed Su, said he had no regret destroying them because “the chips in Mobikes are unsafe and disclose users’ personal information, such as their locations.” The man has been detained pending a further investigation. Many Weibo users said Mobikes are so cool, but some people still tried to point out the problems of the shared bicycle system. @Wanglintao said, “ the new bike rental scheme will experience difficulties in China.” Subscribe to us on Youtube: https://goo.gl/lP12gA Download for IOS: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/cctvnews-app/id922456579?l=zh&ls=1&mt=8 Download for Android: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.imib.cctv Follow us on: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/cctvnewschina Twitter: https://twitter.com/CCTVNEWS Google+: https://plus.google.com/+CCTVNEWSbeijing Tumblr: http://cctvnews.tumblr.com/ Weibo: http://weibo.com/cctvnewsbeijing
