Weeping Rock

05.06.2008
Weeping Rock Trail is the shortest and one of the most traveled at Zion National park. Water from rain on top of the the plateau some 2,000 feet above, Seeps through the porous sand stone for thousands of years Until it reaches a layer of harder rock. It has no where to go but out at this point. The water then seeps out of the cliffs dripping down the walls of the canyon. Life emerges from what would have otherwise been a desert rocky cliff. Wild ferns, moss, and columbine flowers. These are some of the the hanging gardens of Zion National Park. Music "Ice Castle" by Kirsty Hawkshaw licensed separately with creative commons license magnatune.com/artists/albums/hawkshaw-ice/ Record label magnatune magnatune.com It was filmed using a Sony HDR-SR7. The photo shots are taken with the same camera since I have found out that the photo quality was actually better than the ancient Olympus I was using. The final editing was done using Sony Vegas Pro 8.0 Watch in 720p at http://vimeo.com/1078046
