LVM mazais ērglis Lielā sala, egle #2 – Lesser Spotted Eagle

Mazais ērglis – Ligzda atrodas “Latvijas valsts mežu” valdījumā esošā mežā, mazo ērgļu monitoringa parauglaukumā “Murmastiene”, netālu no Barkavas ciema. 2020. gadā ligzdā sekmīgi ligzdoja mazie ērgļi. 2021. gadā ligzda nebija apdzīvota. 2022. gada martā ligzdas koku nolauza vējš. Blakus augošajā eglē tika uzbūvēta mākslīgā ligzda. Lesser Spotted Eagle – The nest is located in a forest managed by the Latvian State Forests, on a Lesser Spottes Eagle monitoring plot called “Murmastiene”, near the village of Barkava. The eagles built their nest in 2019 and successfully breed there. 2020 nesting season was a success for a pair of Lesser Spotted Eagles. In 2021 the nest stayed uninhabited. The branch and the nest built on it previously shown in the live stream was broken by the wind so another artificial nest was built in the near-by spruce
