HALLOWEEN - WITCHES BREW -DESSERT WARM/COLD - BLACK SESAME SEED SOUP

Today I would like to show you one of my crazy ideas for Halloween. Specially made for Children Halloween Dinner. If you leave out the Crazy Decor it can be taken just as a Chinese Dessert -Black Sesame Soup Dessert. Here are the ingredients needed for making this Dessert for 2 persons: 1)To make the Black Sesame Soup, you will need 25gm normal rice washed and soaked 50gm Black Sesame Seeds washed and sieved dry. First fry the Black Sesame Seeds without oil till it is dry. Then place the Black Sesame Seeds and the soaked rice in the blender. Add a little water to help the blender.(I added the rice soaking water) .Blend till very fine. Then pour the ready Black Sesame Seed and Rice Puree into a pot. To that add about 1 liter water. Bring to boil. Add about 75 to 100gm Rock Sugar or normal castor sugar. Sweetness is up to your liking. Keep stirring to avoid burning at the base of the soup. Once boiled, lower the heat and bring the soup to simmer but keep stirring for about 15minutes. Add more water when necessary. Remove from flame and set aside to cool. Remember once cooled the soup will thicken further. As this can be eaten warm or cold you can reheat it as when you need too. 2) To make the Figures: You need 150gm Glutinous Rice Flour 2 tbsp icing sugar 1 tsp cornstarch a pinch of salt about 150ml water Mix all together to form a paste. Divide in portions according to your figures and ideas. Add coloring. Red, Blue, Green , Black and normal White. As you can see in my video, my already made figures are Bones Eyeballs, palm and Worms, so the colors I used are black, blue, green, red and normal White. But you can color as you wish. Bring a pot of water to boil. Once boiled just add the figures into the pot, starting with the white and lighter colored figures, or else the black and red color will spread to the others. Once the figures float, it is cooked and ready to be fished out. Place the figures on top of the Black Sesame Seed Soup when serving. Woolah!!!! your Witches Brew Soup is ready to be Served.
