Cane was abandoned in the Everglades left to DIE a slow, painful and lonely death HD
These are the words from Steve who rescued Cane who was just days away from death.... "I was riding in the Everglades and found an abandoned American Bulldog. He is covered in mange and badly sunburned. He is emaciated like I never saw. I fed him some cold cuts and he let me pick him up and put him in my jeep. I fed him some Bologna to gain his trust and had to pick him up to put him in my jeep. On the way home he took a little nap, probably the first bit of rest he had in a long time. When he woke he rested his chin on my shoulder and licked my face as if to thank me and to say he had faith not all humans are as cruel as the ones that abandoned him to a slow, painful, and lonely death. Once home Cane was given a small meal then a double bath. One bath to clean the caked on dirt and muck, the second to rid him of the fleas and ticks that were feasting on his emaciated and sunburned body. At first he did not like getting wet once again as this is the rainy season here in South Florida. Imagine how Cane felt out in the tropical heat and heavy afternoon rains and severe thunderstorms with no shelter, no food, and alone..." On August 4th, 2014, Steve brought Cane to the care of Everglades Angels Dog Rescue who will bring him back to heath and find him a loving forever home. Cane has a long recovery ahead of him and his medical costs will be expensive. Please donate what you can and share this link for your friends to see. Everyday people are dumping their pets in the Florida Everglades. I followed some South Florida Rescue groups that go out and find these poor souls and rescues them from the harsh conditions of the Florida Everglades.
