Freenas Link Aggregation (LACP) Tutorial - Handy for Media or File Servers (Part 2) ISSUES!! HD

19.01.2014
Issues I had with Link Aggregation when using 4 Network Cards, two of the cards worked okay the other two worked very poorly. This video is just demonstrating the method I used to figure out what was going on. the Network cards I was using: 1x On board Network Interface (This worked well in Freenas) 1x Edimax EN-9260TX-E with PCIe interface (This card also worked well) 2x SMC-9452TX-2 with PCI Interface (Both of these worked very poorly for 1G cards) The download location I used for the iperf network tool I used in the video was from the following link http://samkear.com/networking/how-to-compile-iperf-for-windows-using-cygwin using iperf on your Freenas Server log into the console and type... iperf -s -I 1 on the client PC once you have iperf copied to that PC and have a command window open to that same directory, type: iperf -c XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX -t 30 (XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX would be replaced with your Freenas Server IP address, and 30 is the time you would like the test to run. Hope this video can be of some help to you... Cheers :-)
