Airbus A310-300 – Tarom’s flagship from Bucharest to Vienna HD

With Europe’s aviation industry consisting more or less of B737 and A320, a little variety is something rather welcome. And with all airlines more or less transforming into the same boring low cost “bus with wings” companies, it might delight the community that there still is hope! Tarom not only operates the A310 within the EU on short haul routs, but also offers a full service product at much lower fares than comparable airlines. It is a good thing that Tarom is still keeping up with its mighty aeronautical tradition, and this can be felt aboard their aircraft. The airlines’ staff is great and they not only enjoy their work, but also love their flagship. And even on such a short hop from Bucharest to Vienna, a full meal is offered, including a wide selection of soft drinks and alcohol, such as various different red wines and white wines, as well as beer. Oh, and it actually feels like “eat and drink as much as you can” aboard. To put it in other words, this is probably Europe’s best airline in terms of service in economy. And if you enjoy this service aboard an A310, things are even better! The flight from Bucharest to Vienna was great and the A310, even being nearly full, performed amazingly. Tarom’s in house maintenance keeps all of their aircraft in wonderful condition, and it’s probably the most exotic and the rarest A310 around in Europe. Hopefully Tarom will keep the A310 around a bit longer and keep up the degree of service, since it outperforms all other EU carriers at really cheap fares!
