iBook Author Tutorial - [Rulers and Guides] HD

This video tutorial is to help you to understand and use rulers and guides while using the iBook Author. The rulers and guides will appear on the edges of your page when you drag objects, such as a text box. But if you are not able to see the rulers and guides, choose Show Rulers from the View pop-up menu in the toolbar. If you would like to customize alignment guides, choose iBook Author tab, then Preference, and click Rulers. From here, you can either change the color of alignment guides by clicking onto the Alignment Guides color well. You can select a color in the Colors window. You can also change the color of size and spacing guides by clicking onto the Object Spacing & Sizing color well... and selecting a color in the Colors window. Unlike the Rulers and Guides in Adobe InDesign program, the rulers and guides for iBook Author does not automatically allow you to have the magnetic pull when you align your objects. Go to iBook Author tab, Preferences and click Rulers. Select the box where it says "Show guides at object edges."
