Bassendean Turnouts Replacement - extended version HD

In October 2017 the PTA upgraded the rail infrastructure around Bassendean as part the PTA’s ongoing Turnout, Points and Crossing Upgrade program. A more modern crossing was installed to reduce noise for residents and, using new PEM & LEM technology, old timber bearers and turnouts were replaced with concrete, extending its life by up to 50 years.
