How to include maths and physics in our daily | Sara Bouchkati | TEDxYouth@SadikiCollege HD

The most common question I’ve heard students ask during the course of my education is:” What would the laws of Newton or Thales serve me in my day-to-day life?!” Of course, these people misunderstood school and the educational program, along with the question itself. So they would allow themselves to skip school, not to mention forgetting their formulae as soon as they set foot outside the classroom. Believing Math and Physics are put there just to exhaust students and torture them in the most poetic way, turning their lives into ‘a veritable hell, full of fiery calculations, spiked laws, and scowling, horned formulae’… In fact, it’s quite the contrary, these two subjects are what actually makes us feel alive, as the seemingly “useless, annoying” things are the key to understanding life. They allow us, humankind, to carve a path through the mountains of existence, digging out its’ secrets, which we’re still light years away from fully mastering Student in the Bourguiba pionner School - Tunis This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community.
