Dr. Joan Berman: Buprenorphine for HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders HD
The third annual Einstein and Montefiore Presidential Lecture, which honors collaborative research at the institutions, included a presentation by honoree Joan W. Berman, Ph.D., titled “Buprenorphine: A Novel Therapy for HIV-Associated Neurocognitive Disorders.” Dr. Berman is professor of pathology and of microbiology & immunology and senior academic advisor to the Sue Golding Graduate Division. Steven M. Safyer, M.D., president and chief executive officer of Montefiore Medicine, and Gordon F. Tomaselli, M.D., the Marilyn and Stanley M. Katz Dean at Albert Einstein College of Medicine, delivered welcoming and introductory remarks. Presidential Lecture Chair Pamela Stanley, Ph.D., opened the event June 3, 2019. (Video 1 of 2)
