Intel, EMC, Dell and IBM are collaborating to make a PCI-E SSD standard. PCI-E is a better interface than Serial which is currently used for Hard Drives. Solid State storage has a lot more potential than the current Hard Drives. PCI-E + Solid State = ownage Unfortunately there are some bugs that need to be worked out, but in time they probably will be. (mainly deriving from read/write limits)
