Colin Firth Could Return For Kingsman Sequel Subscribe Now! ► http://bit.ly/SubClevverMovies Fans of Kingsman: The Secret Service get excited, our favorite gentleman spy may be back for the sequel! Before we get started, a word of warning that we will be talking about major Kingsman plot points, so if you haven’t seen it yet, best to turn back now and go check out another of our videos. Now that we’ve got that out of the way, if you saw our recent review of the action, spy film Kingsman, you know we were big fans and one of the reasons was star Colin Firth’s portrayal of kick-ass spy “Harry Hart” aka “Galahad”. Like many of you, we were thoroughly disappointed when he was shot in the head and seemingly killed off after that insane church scene where he wipes out a good portion of the church’s denizens in brutally gory fashion. We kept hoping for him to somehow miraculously show up by the end and though that never happened, we understand the importance of his death in the film. Regardless, does this mean Galahad is truly gone for good? Maybe not. Considering Kingsman is based off a comic book, we have to remember that nobody is ever truly gone for good in the comic world and the same could be said for Firth’s future in the more than likely sequel. After all, we never saw a close-up of his body or any kind of funeral and in an interview with USA Today, director Matthew Vaughn revealed that Firth may be back saying quote, “A lot of people are very upset that Colin might not be in the sequel, but I’m coming up with ideas at the moment. If people buy tickets in America, I’ve got a feeling we’ll figure out a way for having Colin back.” Of course, just because Firth is back, it doesn’t mean he’ll return as “Harry”. We could see him taking on a different role or perhaps appear in a flashback. As for the chances of a sequel, though Kingsman lost the holiday weekend to Fifty Shades of Grey, the film exceeded many expectations, taking in $42 million at the US box office over the 4-day weekend. With overwhelmingly positive reviews and word-of-moth along with a lack of competition in the coming weeks, we should see the film continue to do well, seemingly assuring a sequel will happen. As for what the sequel will be about when and if it happens, Vaughn says it will focus on the modern-day gentleman spy with new blood joining the ranks of the Kingsman referring to the first film as a prequel to Taron Egerton’s “Eggsy” character.
