Can a Baby Amrep Garbage Truck Pack 8 Tons of Greenwaste? HD
Ugh, another LA City video you might be thinking to yourself... well this one is especially unique. These little yellow boogers have really only been filmed by myself, Kirk and Tony, and 9 out of 10 times its usually in an alley or tight street. In this video, you will see 36948 helping out with a full size route directly adjacent to my neighborhood. The properties over there can become pretty large, which of course means more greenwaste. Most properties set out 2 green cans weekly, which are more times than not packed to the brim with solid grass or plant clippings. Then there are others, as seen at the beginning, that may set out 5-6 cans. I talked with the driver for a little bit and he says that on Tuesdays he does his assigned route about 4 miles from where I filmed him, and then he goes around helping out with whatever route needs assistance (i.e. broken down truck, packed out, etc). Because the greens dump is a good 45 minute drive from the Palisades, no greenwaste driver enjoys going to dump midday. He said that on heavy days, he can pack 7 or 8 tons in to his truck, while usually other baby trucks can only pack 4 or 5. You will also see some packer panel action which is rare to see on an amrep as well as lots of manual packing!
