LifeProof NEXT for iPhone 8 Plus: Grippy, Drop Protective and Crystal Clear! HD

Pros: * Two meter drop protection (6.6 ft) far exceeds military drop test standards. * Wireless charging compatible. * Grippy rubber sides let you keep a secure hold on your iPhone. * Crystal clear polycarbonate back shows off the beauty of your iPhone. * Port protection keeps your iPhone’s port openings safe from dust, dirt, and snow. * Nice, clicky buttons. * Mute switch toggle works well. * Relatively high protective lip does a good job protecting your screen and should work with many case compatible screen protectors. * Protruding back camera is well protected. Cons: * Glossy polycarbonate back is likely to scratch over time, despite its scratch resistant coating. It also shows fingerprints relatively easily. * Interaction between the polycarbonate back and the glass back of the iPhone 8 Plus can produce a small amount of rainbowing. It is not very visible on a silver iPhone 8 Plus, however. Overall, the LifeProof NEXT is an excellent case for those who only need a basic amount of water resistance for their iPhone. If more water resistance than the iPhone’s built in 1 meter/30 minutes of water resistance is needed, true waterproof cases such as the LifeProof FRE should be considered, as they provide double that amount of protection, allowing 60 minutes of submersion at a 2 meter depth. The NEXT is compatible with both the iPhone 8 Plus and iPhone 7 Plus, is available directly from LifeProof as well as from other retailers and has a retail price of $79.99 on LifeProof’s US website and $69.99 on LifeProof’s Asia site.
