vespa POLINI 210 vs 207ccm comparison / aluminium vs cast iron / FMPguides HD

17.05.2018
cylinder and piston are same as the old 207ccm version, they were not updated, just the material changed to aluminium and a cyl head is included. in the end it was more an optic tuning than a proper technical tuning. polini did pretty the same with the 177 aluminium... a polini 210 aluminium is NOT recommended, not for plug and play and not for further tuning, its simply technically outdated (even tough it looks so cool... esp the head) the 210 is too expensive for what you get. the price performance ratio isnt good. and thats why: 1) the absolutely updated (2014) malossi sport 210 is the vespa 200 touring cylinder #1, its definitely better as the old polini no dyno curves needed, simply look at the piston 2) the price for the polini is therefore way too high u still get the same ports and the oldold ASSO piston with that unneeded L ring, as in the 80ies (...) furthermore the piston windows doesnt really fit the cylinder windows dont geht me wrong, its a good cylinder but since 2014 there is a better cylinder for the same or even less money: malossi sport 210 the polini 207ccm with good cnc head is still a very good option for a reasonable price, for simple plug and play tuning. it basically has the same power as the 210 aluminium version, these 5degree timing difference doesnt make a big change. if u see other dyno curves stay critical and ask for the detailed setup. ie shops who have the polini representation or good polini conditions do like to promote these articles of course, ie showing good curves, without further information that more work was done on this engine a 2011 sck dyno curve hows honest 14,7hp for pnp, thats http://www.scooter-center.com/medias/sys_master/8866057682974/Leistungsdiagramm%20(7673399).jpg.jpg malossi sport 210 16-17hp pnp btw malossi MHR is only for reed valve recommended
