Why I decided that now is the time to switch from DSLR to shoot Macro&wildlife with Lumix DC-G9 HD

I photograph wild wildlife in Africa every year. Every time I go on a journey, instead of checking what else to take out of my photographic equipment, I check what not to take. The reason is that I end up carrying the gear on my back and as the road gets longer, the equipment gets heavier and heavier. For example, in a trip to photograph mountain gorillas in Uganda, I had to hire a porter to help me carry the photographic equipment in the jungle. Until now my photography equipment included Nikon DSLR cameras and of course Nikon zoom lenses. The weight of my photo bag was 20 kilos. I waited for many years for cameras and light-weight lenses with good shooting quality to replace the heavy equipment. I followed the development progress of the cameras without a mirror because I was sure that salvation would come from there!
