Bald eagle vs osprey: Badass bald eagle swoops to snatch osprey chick in Maine - TomoNews HD

HOG ISLAND, MAINE — Rare nest-cam footage has captured the moment a bald eagle swooped to snatch an osprey chick from its nest in a raw display of nature’s brutal realities. The video, streamed live by the National Audubon Society and Explore.org, was filmed on Monday at the nest in Hog Island, Maine. The attack took place at dusk when both osprey parents had left their three chicks alone in the nest, Audobon.org reported. Bad move as it turns out, because the badass bald eagle saw an opportunity and swooped in.
