UP College of Engineering speaks about the Marcos burial HD

Last August 9, 2016, President Rodrigo Duterte announced his plans to transfer the remains of former president, Ferdinand Marcos, at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. However, different personalities, politicians, sectors, and Martial Law victims voiced out their opposition to the proposed burial. This opposition, produced several petitions filed at the Supreme Court to prevent Marcos’ burial at the Libingan ng mga Bayani. Last August 23, 2016, the Supreme Court released a 20 days status quo ante order (SQDA) for the former president’s burial, bringing a temporary halt to any attempts on burying Marcos. The Supreme Court also scheduled oral arguments for the case on August 31, 2016. UP ARISE, through Usapang Engineering, aims to empower and give voice to the Engineering community regarding the former president’s burial at LNMB. Let us listen to their voices and contribute inputs and opinions. Through this, UP ARISE hopes to stir educational discourse among the community in hopes of creating bigger changes to society.
