5 minute Relaxation Technique to Gain Clarity and Focus HD
Productivity and focus, or lack there of, is can happen when the mind is overloaded and in a resistant state. By creating new tools and triggers for the subconscious mind we can reconfigure old coping mechanisms that are holding you back from reaching your peak performance. By tapping into your subconscious min, we can bring down to the subconscious your intellect, power, and control to step back and be in the moment knowing whatever happens you will be on top of your A-game. Use these steps to begin to tap into the subconscious state: 1) Stop what you are doing 2) Step back from the situation and allow yourself 5 minutes to just be (sitting, standing, or laying down) 3) Find one spot on the wall or ceiling that is directly in front of you that you can focus on. This will be your visual focal point. Do not look away even though your eyes might begin to want to close. If the draw for them to close becomes too great over the next couple steps, allow them to lower down and continue the process below with your eyes closed staring into the dark space behind your eyelids. 4) Stare at that spot and take the following series of 4 breaths slowly and listen for the breath and feel it • In through the nose, out through the mouth • In through the nose, out through the nose • In through the mouth, out through the nose • In through the mouth, out through the mouth 5) As your stare directly ahead having taken the 4 breathes, continue to breath in what ever way feels comfortable, paying special attention to the exhale. 6) With each exhale, slowly allow your eye lids to close, letting go of what you are looking at 7) Once the eyes have closed, stare into the dark twilight expanse behind your eyelids and forehead. 8) Imagine a big red balloon, and with each exhale imagine the air leaving. 9) As your exhale, feel the body relax as you think about blowing away stress, tightness, and tension from the body. Breath into any spots of tension as if you could wrap the breath around it and remove it from the body. Feel the body deflate upon itself like the balloon. The body becoming like a rag doll. 10) Count from 10 down to 0 and recite the words Calm, Relaxed and In Control 11) Count yourself up from 0-10 and upon 10 open your eyes and stretch.
