Why did God let this happen to me? HD

Why does God allow tragedy to happen? Despite having to deal with the pain, suffering and loss that comes with living in this fallen sinful world, God is still sovereign and in control. He is always righteous and good and like a good Father He has our best interests at heart. Also, like a good Father or parent who takes their child to the dentist, He allows some things that are painful to happen for our good.
