I want to get out of here as soon as possible.” Senior nurse Ekaterina is in charge of medical care in the children’s home in Krasnodon, LPR. Here, they take care of children with the most severe diagnoses, who are terminally ill and will never leave the place. The personnel remember how they had to live through tough times when Ukraine completely stopped its support of the center. In 2014, it didn’t receive medical supplies, and there was no humanitarian aid. But through it all the staff does its best so that children don’t suffer. There’re no doctors, only qualified nurses. But there’re cases when they don’t have the necessary experience. This was revealed after the Russian ‘Road of Life’ foundation visited the facility.
