A Rough Railfanning day at Sorrento Valley 12/21/2014 HD

Here is a Railfanning video I made taken on December 21, 2014. That day was a frustrating day on the Surfline! The first hour when I was there, I saw 3 trains, while in the next hour I saw no trains. But when the next hour came, i saw 3 trains again. Enjoy! Trains: Train 1: F59PHI 459 leads Amtrak train #768 though Sorrento Valley with Private cars, Boston and Main Salisbury Beach and Silver Spender. F59PHI 462 trails in the back. Train 2: Amtrak Surfliner #777 stops at Sorrento Valley station. The reason why it stopped because train 573 was canceled and 566 broke down in LAUPT and they had to use the set on 564 to make it into 777. Perhaps 777 more more important tan 573 because it goes further than 573! Train 3: F40PHM-2C 2104 leads Coaster 685 in and out of Sorrento Valley with Cabcar 2305 trailing. No train for more than 1 hour at this point Train 4: Cabcar 2305 leads Coaster 688 in and out of Sorrento Valley with F40PHM-2C 2104 trailing. Nice horn salute from the engineer too! Train 5: Few seconds later Amtrak Surfliner #579 accelerates to max speed with Cabcar 6952 leading. Nasty horn on 6952!!! F59PHI 459 trails. Train 6: P40DC 816 leads Amtrak Surfliner #572 thought of Sorrento Valley. nice 3rd General K5LA on 816! 816 was also here on the Surfline earlier this year, and good to see that it revised me again! This train was running 1 hour and 22 minutes late. Came pass around 2:50pm. bonus clips: Bonus clip 1: F40PHM-2C 2104 leads a Coaster train though Washington Street crossing. This is where I relocated and chased 572 to. Bonus clip 2: P40DC 816 leads Amtrak Surfliner #572 though Washington Street. Bonus clip 3: Few minutes later Amtrak Surfliner #774 came right before 3:50pm. F59PHI 461 leads the train, Nice horn on 461! Cabcar 6906 trails on. Thanks for watching!
