=== Joe ended up leaving the venue entirely, getting the stroller out of the trunk of his car and he strapped James loosely inside, making sure he was covered by a light blanket and had his favorite toy before heading to a nearby McDonalds to pass the time and get himself something to eat, but as he stepped through the door he could see that dozens of other people had the same idea. “How can I help you?” The woman behind the counter asked. “Can I just have nine chicken nuggets, large fries and a medium Coke?” Joe said. He’d packed things for James to have since as it was still limited with what he could feed his son, but he paid for his meal before heading to a table that was emptying just as he was coming over, the couple that were there cooing at the baby for a moment before leaving the restaurant. Joe set his tray down, eating a fry before digging into the baby bag. “Let’s get you settled, huh, bud?” Joe said softly before pulling out a bottle of formula. He chuckled as James was instantly reaching for it and he started to drink it by himself as Joe handed it to him, playing with his hair with his favorite toy by his face, the blanket covering his lower body. Joe could tell he’d be asleep soon, and he was hoping that the boy would get at least an hours’ nap before the show started because he wouldn’t be able to sleep then. Joe watched James as he ate his McDonalds meal, watching as James fell sound asleep in the stroller and Joe took the bottle away that was only half empty and he covered his son up a little more with the blanket, relieved that he’d fallen asleep even though the restaurant was relatively loud with background music and chatter from excited diners. Joe ended up pulling out his phone as he continued to eat, a smile on his face when he checked his pictures and he saw the selfie Demi had taken of the three of them together. He was still embarrassed that he’d had a panic attack, he’d never had one before and it was in front of Demi- he just hoped that she wasn’t taking pity on him, but she didn’t seem the type of person to be so kind to him just because she felt sorry for him. She was just a naturally nice person and for that, he admired her. He ended up on Instagram, searching her name and he instantly followed her when he found her verified account and he smiled as he scrolled through her pictures before he made a post of his own- the picture Demi had taken of herself, Joe and James in his lap. It took him a moment to think of what to put in the caption- there was so much he wanted to say, but he struggled to put it into words.
