Caravan Intense Drum Solo*Ken Loomer on his vintage Slingerland Drums

This is the famous song that Duke Ellington first played back in the 30`s. It has become a jazz standard which all of the great jazz drummers have played. Buddy Rich,Gene Krupa,Joe Morello,Jo Jones,Elvin Jones,Dave Weckl,Jeff Hamilton are some of the drummers who have played this classic song. The Movie Whiplash about a drummer who wants to be the best back in 2015 also made this song famous. Here I am with the Hiram Hazley Jazz Quartet doing an intense version of Caravan. Hiram is on up-right bass with Pete Carney on tenor sax,and Ben Winkler on piano.
