KPO held annual HSE Awards Ceremony HD

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating B.V. (KPO) held the Annual Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Awards Ceremony. The event was attended by representatives of top management of KPO, Shell Kazakhstan and Agip Karachaganak, KPO and contractor employees. The winners of the Annual HSE Contest that was held among KPO Departments and contracting organizations as well as the winners of the HSE Card Programme for 2016 and Best HSE representatives for 2016 were recognised and awarded. Renato Maroli, KPO General Director, said: “KPO HSE statistics is one of the best among the oil and gas enterprises of Kazakhstan and worldwide. To achieve such results, we implement a whole range of initiatives to prevent accidents and incidents. Conscious responsibility of each employee over rigid compliance with safety regulations is an integral part of the production culture in KPO and its contracting companies’’. “Over the last years we have achieved excellent HSE performance results, and this has been recognised by our parent companies”, noted Renato Maroli. As it has been noted, as of today KPO has recorded 318 days without lost time incidents. This achievement signifies KPO personnel’s and contractors’ commitment to safety, health, and environmental practices and standards. During the ceremony KPO employees were also awarded with special awards from Shell. As Renato Maroli noted in his address to the participants and the winners of the Annual HSE Awards, “our success in HSE is highly dependent upon our Contractor’s own commitment and performance. “Such Contests provide opportunity to look at some of the challenges that we jointly face and share good practices on maintaining and improving HSE performance”, noted Renato Maroli.
