After more than two years of constant performing on music stages across our pleasant Kingdom of Belgium, 14weeks self produced an EP with eight songs in 2008. The artistic director in charge of that project was Gaëtan Streel (Piano Club, Me & My Machines, Jeronimo). In late 2009, things started really picking up: after a summer full of gigs at music festivals such as Francofolies in Spa, Musik Marathon in Eupen and Fiesta City in Verviers, the band began working on new music and released its second EP in February 2010. In 2011, an encounter with Anorak Supersport, an independent label (and proud of it!) sped up the process even more... Their first video accompanying the song "What Else" was posted as an example on YouTube and generated more than 12,000 views in just a few weeks. Their debut album "Past/Present/Now" has just been released! A mature pop album which contains older tracks previously performed live and five new songs, among which are the potential hits "Start/Stop Telling", and "The Bus", for which they invited Jon Gray, the well-known British producer with an impressive CV (Editors, Radio 4, Futureheads, Ian Broudie,Texas, Infadels, Devendra Banhart, The Coral, The Zutons, Roisin Murphy, The Music, New Order, Underworld...). On this album the catchy synth sounds of Peter Baumgarten surround the instruments of Arnaud Snakkers (guitar), Pierre Mertens (bass) and Didier Gutkin (drums) with the warm and moving voice of Grégory Herzet. This album from 14weeks explodes live on stage thanks to their angular rock, plus sweeping melodic vocals, then all shaken with the electronic waves of the synthesizer. Na meer dan twee jaar de podia van ons kleine koninkrijk te hebben afgeschuimd, produceerde 14weeks in 2008 in eigen beheer een minialbum met acht tracks. Productie en artistieke leiding waren in handen van Gaëtan Streel (Piano Club, Me & My Machines, Jeronimo). Eind 2009 komt alles in een stroomversnelling: na een zomer vol concerten op festivals als de Francofolies te Spa, de Musik Marathon in Eupen en Fiesta City in Verviers, duikt de band de studio in met nieuw werk, om in februari 2010 zijn tweede EP voor te stellen. In 2011 zorgt de ontmoeting met het onafhankelijke label Anorak Supersport voor een nieuwe boost... Een eerste video, "What Else", mag het pad effenen op YouTube en wordt in enkele weken tijd meer dan 12 000 keer bekeken. Een goed begin... Ze hebben nu hun eerste album uit: "Past/Present/Now"! Een rijp en poppy album. Een album met ouder werk dat al op het podium te horen was, en 5 nieuwe nummers waaronder de hits in spe "Start/Stop Telling" en "the Bus" -- nummers waarvoor Jon Gray erbij werd gehaald, de gerenommeerde Engelse producer met een indrukwekkend visitekaartje (Editors, Radio 4, Futureheads, Ian Broudie, Texas, Infadels, Devendra Banhart, The Coral, The Zutons, Roisin Murphy, The Music, New Order, Underworld...). Een album waarop het catchy toetsenwerk van Peter Baumgarten versmelt met de instrumenten van Arnaud
