Working Procedure of Effluent treatment Plant (ETP) | Treatment of Waste Water: Effluent treatment plant (ETP) is essential to purify the waste water which is come from different types of manufacturing industry like textile, ternary, dyes, and chemical manufacturing industry, pharmaceutics etc. Different Environment Saving organizations are trying to protect the environments from the harmful effect of the effluent. Different waste water has different characteristic which pollute the water. 1. Bar Screen: To trap any free floating debris. 2. Oil & Grease removal tank: To trap free & floating oil and Grease if any. 3. Equalization tank: To equalize the Effluent pH quantitatively & qualitatively. 4. Electro Coagulation: For Crack water and Create Sludge Flocks on It. 5. Launder: For Release Some Gases. 6. Flash Mixer: Coagulants were added to the effluents: 1). Lime: (800-1000 ppm) to correct the pH up to 8-9. 2). Alum: (200-300 ppm) to remove colour. 7. Flocculated Dosing Unit: In the flocculator the water is circulated continuously by the stirrer. Overflowed water is taken out to the aeration tank. 1).Poly electrolyte: (0.2 ppm) to settle the suspended matters & reduce SS, TSS. 8. Primary Clarifier: Primary clarifiers reduce the content of suspended solids and pollutants embedded in those suspended solids. settle able solids through sedimentation 9. Aeration Tank: Aeration in an activated sludge process is based on pumping air into a tank, which promotes the microbial growth in the wastewater. The microbes feed on the organic material, forming flocks which can easily settle out. BOD & COD values of water are reduced up to 90%. 10. Secondary Clarifier: remove flocks of biological growth created in some methods of secondary treatment including activated sludge, trickling filters and rotating biological contactors. 11. Tertiary Treatment Unit: removes remaining inorganic compounds, and substances, such as the nitrogen and phosphorus. 12. Ultra Filtration System: is a type of membrane filtration in which hydrostatic pressure forces a liquid against a semi permeable membrane. A sem
