Davis was shut down for the season by the New Orleans Pelicans to repair his injured shoulder and undisclosed injured knee. Team USA has four centers to choose from, and will likely settle on two between DeMarcus Cousins, Andre Drummond, DeAndre Jordan and Dwight Howard. Cousins is the rumored starting replacement, and Drummond seems like the logical second spot, but DeAndre Jordan offers a crucial defensive element that Drummond lacks.
