Started Gutting My Old Camper To Prepare Frame For Tiny Home
Thursday I started to gut out the old camper so I can prepare the frame for my tiny home build. I also show my little greenhouse and give an update on how my plants are doing. I started to pull off all the doors from the camper cabinets. I may keep the cabinet doors but the cabinets themselves are not usable for anything. I am keeping all the hardware from the cabinets as well. Next I started to remove all of the light fixtures and ceiling speakers. I will keep them all for my new tiny home. The original light fixtures will make perfect under cabinet and closet lights for my new tiny house. I still have a few small odds and ends to move out of the old camper but I am picking at it. When I have the interior of the old camper fully stripped out and emptied then I can start on the full camper demolition. I will then check the old camper frame for structural strength and then decide on the final tiny home dimensions based on that. I will paint and undercoat the camper frame and put on new tires. Then I can start my tiny house. My little greenhouse plants are not as good as they could be. The ones on the top shelf got baked in the heat of the sun when I was gone for Easter. The others are doing fine, sort of. Due to the freezing cold nights and the warm days it is very hard to control the temperature inside there. Sadly during the warmer days it got hot inside the greenhouse when I was gone but at night it got colder. Some of the seeds have sprouted but most have not yet started due to the extended cold weather this year. Next year I plan to have a heated greenhouse. I will use a water pipe running off the exhaust pipe of the wood stove which will pump heated water into my greenhouse through a radiator. This means that the greenhouse will have to be close to my home though.
