Do it Yourself (DIY) Car Wrapping Hello everybody, in this video you will see how I have applied the Carbon Fibre Wrap. However I’d like to begin saying that this is not my job and that it is the very first time that I try to apply a wrap over a car. Enjoy the video... Let’s start removing the car door’s panel in order to take out the external door handle and the window’s seal Remove the top... it has been tightened up, you only have to pull, then below unscrew the first hex key In the objects compartment under the car carpet you will find two hex keys. Unscrew them and cut off the connector of the window winder’s command Under the door handle you will find a torx covered with a plastic cap Unscrew with a spanner N° 10 the two bolts which are under the objects compartment Remove the ashtray... Remove the container’s top, it has been tightly fixed... unscrew the 4 screws that fix the car box and cut off the connector Two other torxs under the car box Remove the panel in order to unhook it from the car door....Oops I forgot to unscrew a hidden screw under the car ashtray… Here is the second hex key which fix the external door handle! Unhook the lever of the door handle’s lock Pull out the window’s seals Clean well the surface The use of the paint remover makes the wrap very soft and flexible, this is very useful for the details and the shaped parts... however be careful not to exaggerate with the temperature: the risk is to melt or burn the wrap DONE!!! :-) Not bad even this time... the preoperative work has been quite long (the removing process of the door’s handle and the seals) but it was worthwhile :-) This time I’ve used the paint remover, it was quite easy even though it is not simple to manage a 600 degrees temperature. It has been perfectly helpful in order to shape the wrap in the most difficult parts but I think that for the straight surfaces I’ll use again the dryer... the line between making the wrap very soft and piercing it or burning it is really thin Let’s see how we can fix again the door handle, the seals and the interior panel... DONE!!! :-) This time from top to bottom :-P
