Grade 3 Family Word Chunks Activity

Break the long words in chunks (sister, brother, father....) and have students listen, find , ans assemble the chucks. At the end, students can lead to read all the words as reinforcement. Even the words are long, you can see students can still find the chunks quite easily. Phonemic awareness and phonics skills should be cultivated for such young TEFL learners.
