Smokey & The Bandit Tribute Truck Ep.31 Shifting Detail HD

#ProjectSnowman #twinsticks #twinstickgarage On this episode I continue with the ongoing restoration of this 1979 Kenworth W900A truck to turn it into a tribute movie truck to the one used in the 1977 classic movie Smokey and the Bandit with Burt Reynolds, Jerry Reed and Jackie Gleason. If you haven’t seen it yet, what are you waiting for??? “We got a chance to make a run for some big bucks?” To kick things off, I decided to upgrade the standard Eaton Fuller 13 speed shifter to the proper old school flat top used in the movie. I found this shifter on an old CL9000 Ford Cabover on Episode 6 of the “OnTheHunt” series and have been waiting to use it for Snowman. Unfortunately, I should have run new air lines to the 13 speed transmission before installing the floor, but as I say, the best kind of work is rework. It took some doing but finally got it mounted and working as it should and it looks perfect. I also discuss some of the dash mounted devices Snowman had in the movie and I’m still searching for the proper Pace 10-4U scanner but still no luck ... maybe somebody out there knows where I can find one Hope you enjoy the video and thanks for all the comments, suggestions, and support!
