iPhone 5 : iOS 8.4.1 vs iOS 9.3.3 Final Release Build 13G34 HD

22.07.2016
The adoption rate for iOS 9 is still very impressive. According to Mixpanel.com it is currently at 92.27%, and there are still 4.92% of users still on iOS 8,and 2.81% on iOS 7 or older. Many people are holding back from upgrading as they fear that their device will get slow, and with good reason. Moving from iOS 6 to 7, and iOS 7-8 surely gave the older devices a drop in performance. But has the newly release iOS 9.3.3 done anything to bring performance up when compared to iOS 7.1.2 and iOS 8.4.1 ? Conclusion: iPhone 5 still boots faster on iOS 8.4.1, and is marginally faster on most apps, but it is not like iOS 9.3.3 is a total catastrophe. I bet that most users would not notice the difference in daily use.
