Was a DECENT CASE until the very end - Speck Presidio Pro iPhone 11 Review HD

12.04.2020
The Speck Presidio Pro is an average case. It handles well but is quite impressionable. And doesn’t even come close to my favourite Speck case, the Presidio Grip. Or the Candyshell Grip if you can get it. If you still feel like getting this case after watching this review, get it here: Amazon US: https://mreh.ca/3ecrrC6 Amazon CA: https://mreh.ca/2RJEJMX Amazon UK: https://mreh.ca/3emOoTg Amazon DE: https://mreh.ca/34ubCC4 Need better alternatives? Check out this video: https://youtu.be/rsNG5HF_RYc At MREH, Monty tells me what to review and I go out and buy it. He’d do it himself but FaceID or Touch ID doesn’t work on dogs so he needs me, specifically for my face or finger. BUT when he told me to buy a bunch of Speck cases, well, I had words for him. Now I’ve been using Speck cases since the 5’s. The lighter TPU stained back then and they still stain now. At least they phased out the normal CandyShells. That thing was a scratch magnet. When it comes to design, the Presidio Pro is a thin but wide case. It fits the iPhone quite well and will keep your iPhone from sliding around. This soft rubber coated case is going to show scratches easier than your normal TPU case which will be evident during the drops. BUT the kicker for me is that TPU stains. STILL stains. Look at how growdy the case looks in my white photobox. This staining problem occurs on other Speck products as well. My light grey CandyShell Fit looks terrible as well. Human bodies are gross. So if you do get this case, get a dark colored one. Because dropping $40 dollars on something that takes on the color of your pants is something else. Impressionable. Overall, the texture of this case is decent. I’m a big fan of the soft rubber coating as it is a great alternative to the aggressive nature of TPU ribs like the Grip variation of the cases. The soft rubber coating that Speck uses isn’t as sticky as the coatings that you would find on the the Tough Armor from Spigen. And that matters as the iPhone get’s bigger. Speck’s coating works on smaller iPhones but I’d take the aggressive texture of the Grip over the nice feeling one for something like the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Why? Because I personally hate dropping that iPhone that costs more than most iPads. Why are they so expensive? The overall build quality of the case is a smidge lower than other products from my perspective. The TPU molding along the seams is a little rough especially when compare to other cases like the Ballistic urbanite with it’s super smooth seams. Also, a material with a hardness of 3 or more is going to scratch the back of the case. So if you have Arsenic laying around, don’t rub that against your iPhone case. I had no issues accessing my iPhone in the Presidio Pro. Buttons are nice, camera works fine and the port cutout is large enough to use whatever cable you want. Edges are tapered enough that they don’t get in the way of gesturing. When it comes to protection, the iPhone sits along a series of ridg
