Bulletproof Protection for your iPhone?? Sort of..Check out the MagCase Pro by Pitaka! HD

30.05.2019
Made from generic Kevlar and TPU, with wireless charging friendly embedded metal plates for magnetic mounting compatibility, the MagCase Pro has a drop rating of 3x military grade and a secure grip in the hand. The aramid fiber in this case is basically a generic form of Kevlar—famous for its use in bulletproof vests—but whether it will actually stop a bullet from damaging your iPhone is unknown. My guess is probably not…but aramid fiber is excellent for use in Phone cases because it is lightweight, strong and does not block cell signals. The use of TPU and EVA foam in this case adds to its protectiveness and overall this is a very thin protective case for iPhone XR and Xs Max. The MagCase Pro compares favorably in terms of size with similarly drop protective cases such as Speck Presidio Pro and OtterBox Symmetry. It is more or less the same size overall, but slightly thinner than the Symmetry and the Presidio Pro and a little bit shorter than the Symmetry. The design makes it look thinner than it actually is. Pros: * 3x Military Drop Test Standard Protection * Easy press buttons * Wireless charging compatible * Compatible with a variety of Pitaka magnetic car mounts, including one which charges wirelessly. * Has a place for a lanyard, although one is not included in the packaging. * Slim and lightweight * Good grip in the hand * Screen is protected by four raised corners and a slightly raised top edge, but the majority of the sides and the bottom have no lip at all. This is great for swiping up and from side to side, but may make some users nervous as there is so little apparent protection for the screen. The raised corners do give this case ‘lay on the table’ design, however, and should provide good protection in a fall. * Aramid fiber back is attractive and has a lovely soft touch finish * Corners also have what Pitaka calls ‘AirBag safety zones’ to provide additional protection against impact. * Ridge around the back of the case protects the middle of the back of the case from contact with flat surfaces when the case is laid on its back * Plenty of protection for the back camera Cons: * Various ridges on the sides of the case look attractive, and make the case appear thinner than it really is. They also provide a good amount of grip. However, if you have sensitive hands, they can be kind of hard on the hands after a while. * Lightning port area is a bit small, and may not fit all third party lightning cables. * Soft touch finish on the back of the case will show greasy smears relatively easily. Available directly from Pitaka and Amazon, the Pitaka MagCase Pro has an MSRP of $49.99 for both the Xs Max and XR versions. Many thanks to the kind folks at Pitaka for sending me out these samples to review. https://www.ipitaka.com/products/magcase-pro-for-iphone-xs?variant=13181179002950 https://www.ipitaka.com/products/magcase-pro-for-iphone-xs?variant=13181158948934 Thanks for watching, and have a wonderful day!
