RFTC: 3D Robotics Iris Plus FPV Quadcopter Unboxing, Setup and Flight Testing HD

In this episode, the Roswell Flight Test Crew unboxes, sets up and tests the new Iris Plus quadcopter from 3D Robotics. The demonstration unit arrives in a hard case from GoProfessional Cases (http://goprofessionalcases.com/), and includes a Tarot two-axis gimbal, a GoPro Hero 3+ sports camera, an FPV monitor with built-in diversity, and X9 2.4 Ghz radio with an upgraded FrSky telemetry unit installed, along with other accessories. The setup includes installation and configuration of the DroidPlanner 2 software on a smartphone running the Android OS. While testing the flight performance of the Iris Plus, the crew tries out direct as well as autonomous flight control modes, as well as the built-in First-Person View (FPV) system.
