Training DV. 5 : Finger Step Up : PeeTee A Lovebird

First PeeTee learned to follow the stick using target training (1st week) . Then he moved around the cage by following the target (1st and 2nd week). He learned to step up on a stick (2nd and 3rd week). The, I combined the jump to this sequence (3rd week). Teaching to step up the finger was the most challenging skill to teach (5th and 6rh weeks). He gets both verbal and food rewards for being a good sport :- ) Actually, one of my motivations for this sequence was to get PeeTee out of his cage and for him to realize that it was safe outside. We are getting there!
