This happens very often to Ford pickup truck or SUV. All you need to do is to replace the resistor(Ford part number: 4L3Z-19A706-AA or NAPA part number: BR286)for controlling the fan speed. It is located around the right kick panel under the glove box. Trace the wiring bundle you will find it there. Disconnect the wiring harness then remove the two 8 mm hexhead mounting screws pointing up to the glove box, the resistor will come out easily.
