How to back up Lamborghini Countach Turbo HD

03.05.2018
Once again Valentino Balboni takes the 1980 Lamborghini Countach Turbo for a drive to show everyone how to properly back this car up. In previous videos, we got to know Valentino Balboni who is a former chief test driver of Lamborghini. He worked for 40 years in the company and retired in 2008. Among Lamborghini enthusiasts, Balboni has risen to cult status. Interestingly, Balboni has driven about 80% of all Lamborghinis ever built. While the 1980 Lamborghini Countach Turbo is one of only two Lamborghini Countach Turbos ever built. In the early 1980s, Swiss Lamborghini Distributor Max Bobnar built two prototype Twin Turbo Countach models: a red metallic and a sinister black. While the latter is in Lamborghini collection in Germany, the Red car disappeared from the public for 30 years until We Are Curated found it. The Red car is perceived as the ultimate symbol of the 1980s and an icon of success and excess. Lamborghini Countaches were manufactured from 1974-1990. The Countach was styled by Marcello Gandini of the Berton design studio — the same designer that made Lamborghini Miura. The doors are recognized as a Lamborghini trademark and were a remarkable design feature for the Countach. These upswinging doors are referred to as “scissor doors.” The Countach market can be confusing when one considers that there are nine unique variations ranging from the original Periscopo cars to the finale 25th Anniversary model produced from 1975-1990.
