Using an evaluation based protocol is the best way to determine if a patient is ready to progress to the next step in their ACL rehab. In this instance, the patient was safe to try some hurdle progression on an increased hurdle height and with a cross over pattern. We also began single leg line hops forward and lateral. This is a test that we use to evaluate symmetry as well. With box jumps and box drops we work on shock absorption and dropping the hip and heels. With repetition, form improves and when ready, further progressions can be added.
