Diagnostic showed rapidly rising cpu temperatures. iMac shuts itself down when it overheats. Thermal paste plays a big role in how heats transfers from CPU to heatsink. Old and dry thermal paste will cause heat issue which causes imac to shut it self down. To get to the CPU and GPU, we had to take the imac apart, and flip the motherboard to the other side. We remove old thermal paste from both the CPU and GPU and we apply a fresh load of thermal paste. After thermal
