Today we install Chocolate Doom on the Raspberry Pi 3 TO BE READY FOR SOME ONLINE DEATH MATCH MAYHEM!!! I install this through the terminal in Pixel desktop, but should be able to be done through Retropie terminal as well. Step 2: wget https://www.chocolate-doom.org/downloads/2.3.0/chocolate-doom-2.3.0.tar.gz (Check the website for the most current link for whatever the newest version is. Step 3: tar xzf chocolate-doom-2.3.0.tar.gz Step 4: cd chocolate-doom-2.3.0 Step 5: sudo make Step 6: sudo make install Step 7: wget http://www.jbserver.com/downloads/games/doom/misc/shareware/doom1.wad.zip Step 8: unzip doom1.wad.zip Step 9: chocolate-doom-setup -WAD DOOM1.wad This is to look at setup for keyboard, mouse or your controller or display settings such as full screen or windowed mode. You can also setup your online deathmatch from here. Just remember both people playing need to have UDP port 2342 open on their router/firewall. Step 10: chocolate-doom -WAD DOOM1.WAD This is to run your game! Make sure you are in the directory for Chocolate doom. You can also run the game from the setup screen in the previous step.
