Global Obesity Prevention Center (GOPC) at Johns Hopkins HD

Our Global Obesity Prevention Center at Johns Hopkins is a University-wide center that spans across many different disciplines, departments, and schools. We are housed at the Bloomberg School of Public Health but we have faculty and staff at the School of Medicine, School of Nursing, School of Engineering, and Carey School of Business. We’re the first Center in the world dedicated to bringing a systems approach obesity prevention and control around the world. We address all of the complex systems that effect our diet, physical activity, and health such as the environment, policy, biology, social networks, and economics.
