Lady GaGa is a self indulgent, if slightly misunderstood pop icon, here seen crying

She is unquestionably the BIGGEST pop star in the world right now - Katy and Rihanna might be scoring the #1 singles, but they can only wish to drum up the same awe and press as Gaga does - she is a modern day Michael Jackson. And like Jackson in his heyday, she mystifies the media - its part of her illustrious appeal. Here, backstage at her HBO concert, Gaga is seen breaking down, citing her detractors as trying to break her down, and stating that even now, at the height of success and having sold over 65m records worldwide, she still has to assure herself that she is a superstar, and not a "high school loser". Gaga is then seen to enter into prayer. Is she a self indulgent bitch, or a pop icon?
