Things Are Looking Bad For The Atari VCS... HD

The Atari VCS was an interesting idea when we first heard about it years ago and after a massively successful crowd funding campaign last year where they raised over 3 million dollars things seemed set for a July 2019 release. Now it seems there are some issues popping up and a strange silence from Atari around this product. I am mostly curious as to why Atari is turning down opportunities to showcase their console at recent events when we are months away from launch.
