Leichsenring hydraulic glass elevator with manual doors at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg
In contrast to the staff-only elevator at the Laeiszhalle in Hamburg (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aTMPojzjiY0), this one has been modernized. Namely, the in-cab buttons have been replaced with ones that light up and the logic now remembers calls. It is a hydraulic elevator, but might have originally been a winding drum elevator. Except for the buttons, the cab still seems to be original, as well as the shaft doors. The call button at the lowest landing is a bit unusual. Technical specifications: Brand: Leichsenring Capacity: 750kg / ~1655lbs / 10 people Type: hydraulic (inground three-stage) Year built: 1908 (modernized in 1981) Travel distance: 3 floors
