It seems to last the expected 5 year lifespan, holds the salinity well, and has a good power center that displays the salt level accurately. Keep in mind when any cell gets dirty the salt level readings are inaccurate. If you have your cell hooked up to your AquaLogic Panel you may have a potential expensive defect. The salt cell requires a lot of power when it turns on, and more often then not the control panel circuit board will get burned when the cell generates too many amps. It will simply burn out and the cell will not work. You will get a message "No Cell Power." There is a fix for this, check this link: http://youtu.be/6bkgN8ck-N8 I would recommend this salt system only if it is hooked up to a standard power unit not the Aqua logic panel.
